It would be a tragedy to lose this spectacular species from our world
Inspired by a photograph taken whilst living in Kenya, I wanted to capture the heat and bright light landing on the cat and the slow slinky walk.
The collage and stitch of all those spots over the tonal layering of fabric beneath was a challenge, to say the least.
Framed and ready to hang
The textile collage and embroidery is stretched over wood and then mounted in a deep tray frame which is dark brown with hints of orange at the edges
