Vultures are unsung heroes of the animal kingdom. They provide an important service by cleaning up and preventing spread of disease in the wild.
This vibrant interpretation of a white backed vulture was inspired by my time in Kenya and an awe inspiring vulture display at the Hawk Conservancy in Hampshire, UK.
The original textile collage with embroidery won the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation, Wildlife Artist of the Year 2023 Newcomer Award. It was sold at Mall Galleries, London
