The most spectacular of creatures, I have always found peacocks mesmerising.
The iridescent blue and green plumage shimmering in sun light is so captivating.
I felt the need to create this bird on a grand scale to reflect it's majesty and to do the flowing tale justice.
Why name the peacock Param? - Param was a boy at my daughters school in Kenya. Five years after we left Kenya, he contacted me asking to use my art for a project in his GCSE art portfolio.
During our time in Kenya we would occasionally visit Mount Kenya Safari Club where we would be in the company of many peacocks. So the association of peacocks, Param, and the art came from that time.
